Why Is Murphy Haunting Me?

It’s A Conspiracy! I am not sure about in other areas, but around here, Office Depot puts out school lists for supplies.  They are never right and all the teachers have their own lists.  Red pens and not black. Green dry erase markers. So, yesterday morning (after two full days and all classes) I head to Office Depot at 730am (by the way a great time to shop there) to do the back to school shopping. $140 later and we are stocked up and the teachers have their Kleenex, hand…

Texting And Driving Don’t Mix

WARNING: VERY GRAPHIC This is a Public Service Announcement produced in the UK. It is a bit long and very graphic. But if you have teens and they may be driving soon, every one of them needs to see this! And adults are just as guilty!…

I try to be as much of a friend as being a parent will allow and so far I think it has worked out. No suspensions from school. No calls to the principal’s office, or worse yet the police department. No tattoos or piercings. Not even a freaky blue Mohawk.  But do I really know…

The World Ended For Us Yesterday

Major Crisis At Home I wanted to open up to this blog and let you know that my family’s world came crashing down very unexpectedly yesterday afternoon around 4:00pm. It was a weekend when I had my children and it was hot and oppressively muggy out so we were pretty much indoors for most of the day. We had made plans for the upcoming week–a visit to a friends house to go tubing behind their boat, a trip to the library for some fresh reading materials, a discussion about my…
