Piercings At 12

A friend of my youngest daughter just got her belly button pierced. To make it worse, she did it herself! Now my kids are not into piercing anything, including ears so there is no interest.
I understand the allure of teenagers and young adults but this girl is just 12. Now I have always said that if the worst thing my kids do is color their hair, get a tattoo and pierce themselves, I am probably ahead of the game. But at 12, I am thinking way too young.
What do you think? Too young?
if its only ears peirced that is fine at 12. but belly button peircing maybe at 16 or 18. give her the chance to have her ears peirced once because it’s sort of a nice privilidge.
well i have mine done and i didet when i was 11 so deal i love this thing and i dont regret it at all just look at mirrin coment she right it’s your body do what you want with it i mean come on i love mine and if your dautgher sorry i think its foe boyZ wants one she should be abell to once agine its there body not yours if you think stopping them is good they want it more now that you wont let them get it i think the right age is 12 yeah i think 12 should do it i mean there just truning into teens soon so. Im 12 i just got mine done and i love it there is nothhing wrong with it and it didnt hurt one bit its not infected or anything so i think u should let her get it done she can take it right outtt if she dont like it
im 13. my mom didnt want me gettiing it done but i have wanted it done since i was 7 cause i always thought it was pretty. im not getting it done becasue people at my school are getting it done im getting it done becasue im a teenager i know its permanent and it will leave a scar if i take it out. plus your daughter might say she doesnt want to get it done because she might think you will say no so she doesnt bother and if thats the case if she really wants it she will do it herself and that is alot more dangerous than getting it done at a profesional parlor. me and my mom made a deal that if i dont have any d’s and f’s on my final report card of the year than i get to get it on my 14th birthday. on june 3rd.

I think its ok to have things that they can and can’t do. But ears should be fine at 12 I was about 6 maybe 7 when my parents let me pierce mine. But I’m 19 now and I just got my belly button pierced. Yes my mom freaked out but she finally realized its my body. But I won’t allow anyone to pierce themselves. Its not safe so never lets your daughter pierce herself. Good thing to do is let her research the pros and cons to each thing she will want to do. That how I finally made up my mind to pierce my belly button.
where can u get ur cartilage pierced at the age of 12 i really want to get mine done i went into claires and they sed that i have to be 16 and i even asked if they would let me if i had an adult and they still sed no HELLPPPP MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m 12 and I want mine pierced but I havent asked yet but in my opinion yes 12 is a good age to get your belly button pierced.
I am not sure the difference between the navel and ears or any other body part. A piercing is a piercing. It should be a choice made by the person wearing them though.
Piercing your child’s/baby’s ears is much more of a violation in my books.
It is their body so their choice as long as it is made after education.
I would much rather take the child to a professional piercing studio than have them do it themselves because I had refused them.
im 12 and im gettin mi belly button pierced tomorrow and im really scared… in a honest oppinion does it hurt??? because my bestfriend is coming with me because she went with her sister to get hers done. but honestly does it hurt?
