This weekend last year was awesome for many reasons–the weather was fantastic. The food was fantastic. And we were able to take advantage of the switchover from Daylight Savings Time and gain an extra hour of sleep. We expect it to be nothing short of spectacular for hiking, trail rides, and especially visiting the Walkway Over The Hudson!
Your weekend includes your room, meals, and all of your activities including:
- unlimited trail rides

- pie eating contests
- bb gun and archery range
- paddleboats
- rock climbing walls
- euro bungee jumping (new)
- indoor water park
- fishing
- mini-golf
- special Wii room for the kids
- and much, much, more
If you are wondering about all the fun you might have missed in the past (or if you want to revisit it), be sure to check out our photo recap and our video recap of our November trip.
The pricing for the trip is as follows:

Hi,
I would have love to join this group (Nov – 2 to 4th) but I could only go during school break (Nov 4 – 8th).
If anyone from your group decides to stay longer, I would love be get in touch with other parents/kids during that time.
Thanks!
Sandy
Hi Sandy–
I am not sure, but am pretty sure, that the Ranch is only open on weekends for overnight guests during the off season. However, it may be open the following week if it is a school break in New York.
Ali and I will be there again
. Any other 10 year old +/- girls going? I hope the ranch is open the following week, then they won’t notice us ‘overstaying our welcome’ LOL.
I do believe they are open the following week. I have not run the report yet on 10 yr olds but will soon!
Hi Denise,
I have a 9 year old daughter, and also a 6 year old daughter who is used to hanging out with 9-10 year old girls. Looking forward to seeing you there!
We look forward to meeting you
Is there anyone on the group from staten island that would be interested in traveling together?
SO excited to have just found your site, but sad that I didn’t find it in time for this trip!! As a single father of two this is just the kind of fun we’d enjoy!
Hi Greg–glad you found us. We ar planning another one of these trips in May…stay tuned! John
HI all!
Just found the website. Never thought of the idea of single parent get togethers. This sounds like a ton of fun. Can you tell me the age range of the average parents? haha. Although I’m mature for my age, I dont want to be the “odd one out” if I decide to join on an adventure with my son! Thanks!
Hi Kory–
The age varies. Pretty solid between the low to mid 30s to the low 50s. The kids are strongly in the 7-14 range for morst trips and a little younger for the Rocking Horse Ranch trips. We are very welcoming so no “odd man out” John
