Ecuador/Galapagos August 2011
Walk in the footsteps of Charles Darwin. Stand in the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere–at the same time. Smile as your son or daughter snickers at the name of the Blue Footed Boobie. See species of birds and animals up close and personal that are not found anywhere else on the globe!
Join Single Parent Travel for our first foray to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands!
Out nine night trip will include 5 nights based out of historic and beautiful Quito, Ecuador and 4 spectacular nights based on the M/S Galapagos Explorer II.
While in Quito, you will have a city tour, a trip to the Equatorial Monument, a trip down the Pan American Highway, and a canopy tour at the Mindu Bird Preserve. While in the Galapagos, we will explore several of the islands from the comfort of our ship. The Galapagos restricts the number of visitors and this is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Our group will be small enough to get up close and very personal with some of the wildlife on these spectacular islands 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador.
Words and a few images do not do the natural beauty of this destination justice. A friend of mine from Philadelphia was recently down there and took some incredible photos. See for yourself; but understand that Ned is a professional photographer and a perfectionist–so his photos always look better than mine, but do a great job of capturing the moment!
Brenda has designed this trip and really put together an amazing experience. Latin America is her passion and she not only knows the area, but the people to

This trip looks amazing. I wish it were longer given the distance to travel.
Hi Alana–
We try to strike a balance between available time and budget. If you are interested in a longer more immersive trip, we can certainly tack on a few days before and/or after the core trip for you. Just a thought!

Galapagos always be a unforgettable destination trip.
Looks awesome for a seven year old single parenting is expensive in itself, would love to go cannot afford the rate though.
I am interested in this trip. Are there many people going? I have a soon to be 16 year old daughter.
Hi Patty–
We have a few spots left and to be honest I am not sure of the ages of the kids. Brenda is handling this trip as South America is her passion. You can contact her directly at brenda [at] maximtours [dot] com.

Heading out on this trip tomorrow. Cant wait! Very excited. Stopped in Costa Rica for 5 days before. Brenda organized it for us and did a bang up job. Ecuador has a lot to live up to.
