Maui, Hawaii June 21-28, 2009 Canceled

We are headed to the land of rainbows and some of the most beautiful water I have ever seen! This trip will include airfare from either San Francisco or Los Angeles. We will be staying at the beautiful Sheraton Maui with full privileges at the nearby Westin.

Maui is one of the most unusual islands–from rain forests to dormant volcanoes to arid deserts, it has it all. Visit Lahaina, an old whaling town and sit on the deck at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Snorkel in the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific.

Our trip will also include a sunrise summit to the “House of the Rising Sun”. Haleakala is a dormant volcano with it’s summit 10,000 feet above sea level. We will leave our hotel at 2am (yes you read that right) and will return by 11am. This is truly a one of a kind experience.

  1. Hi John,
This vacation sounds great. I’ve not done a single parent vacation before, and I’m wondering how it works – do we get together as a group daily, or are we just left to our own devices (apart from the sunrise trek). And is there a kids club (i.e. something to occupy the kids during the day), and is the cost of the kids club included. How much is organized activity with the kids coming along, and how many activities are there where the kids are not included.

Hope it’s not too many questions – it would be great to have your feedback – thanks!

  2. There are no other activities included with the trip however many parents will get together and decide to do something as a smalle sub group. The Sheraton had a great kids program and it is included so we will arrange an adult get together at some point.

Maui is a really kid friendly island. I will work on a series of optional excursions and we can see who is interested and go from there.

  3. OK, that sounds good. The hotel sounds pretty cool, I’ll be happy to stay there most of the time and do the sports and activities they offer there. So will my daughter.

  4. what is the cost for one adult and two kids, all in same room?

    • Hi Sandy–

The cost for three woudl be $6110 from LAX and $5863 from SFO

But, there is very little interest in this trip right now so it may be canceled.
      John
